Fifty years on Main Street, and what has not changed

Fifty years on Main Street, and what has not changed

Gerald Printing opened in 1971 with a local focus: local customers, local relationships, local work. Five locations and two states later, that is still the whole strategy.

The work changed

We set type by hand, then on film, then on screen. Wide-format printing, embroidery, vehicle wraps, and promotional sourcing all arrived as customers asked for them. Very little of what we run today existed in the original shop.

The approach did not

We put people in the towns we serve rather than pulling every job into one building. When a school needs jerseys before a season opener or a nonprofit needs banners for a fundraiser, the person taking that call lives nearby.

What comes next

More of the same, in more places. We are still adding capability where customers ask for it, and still answering the phone ourselves.
