Ordering team apparel: sizes, timelines, and what holds up

Ordering team apparel: sizes, timelines, and what holds up

We outfit a lot of teams across Kentucky and Tennessee. The orders that go smoothest all start the same way: a size count, a deadline, and a decision about decoration method.

Screen print or embroidery

Screen printing suits large, flat designs and bigger runs — jerseys, fan shirts, event tees. Embroidery suits polos, hats, and staff wear where you want a raised, finished look. Embroidery costs more per piece but reads as more formal.

Fabric choices

Cotton is comfortable and takes ink well. Performance blends wick moisture and hold color through repeated washing, which matters for anything worn during play. For youth sizes we usually recommend a blend — it survives more laundry cycles.

Build in time

Two to three weeks from artwork approval is a safe window for a standard team order. Before a season opener or tournament, add another week. Rush work is possible, and we would rather quote it honestly than promise a date we cannot hold.

Collect sizes first

The most common holdup is a size count that arrives in pieces. Send one consolidated list with quantities per size and per garment, and we can quote it the same day.
